Maria Voulgari
Maria Voulgari is a specialized rheumatologist with many years of experience in recognized medical centers and research programs in Germany. With continuous training and participation in international studies, she provides specialized and modern therapeutic approaches for rheumatic diseases.
Her path in medicine began at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens with a scholarship, where she completed her studies and subsequently specialized in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology in academic hospitals in Germany. There, she gained significant experience in the management of chronic rheumatic diseases and modern therapeutic methods.
Her doctoral thesis was carried out at the University Hospital Rechts der Isar of the Technical University of Munich and focused on the modern treatment of ANCA positive vasculitides.
She was responsible for the Rheumatology Day Hospitalization Department, where she was involved in a specialized physiotherapy and occupational therapy program for the rehabilitation of patients with rheumatic diseases and movement problems, as well as the administration of intravenous infusions of biological therapies, ensuring personalized care and monitoring of patients. In addition, she has served as a Researcher in many international clinical studies for new treatments in diseases such as axial spondyloarthritis, psoriatic arthritis, polymyalgia rheumatica and systemic lupus erythematosus.
She continues her close scientific collaboration with Professor H. Kellner of the LMU University in Munich, actively participating in international cutting-edge rheumatology clinical studies, contributing to the development of innovative treatments for the treatment of complex rheumatic diseases.
She also holds DEGUM certification in musculoskeletal ultrasound, a specialization that allows her to accurately diagnose and effectively monitor rheumatic diseases, optimizing the therapeutic approach for her patients. Her research work includes scientific publications in international medical journals, and she has written articles on the diagnosis and treatment of various rheumatic diseases.
Since February 2025, she has been running a rheumatology clinic in Gerakas, providing personalized treatments and modern diagnostic approaches. Guided by scientific documentation and personalized care, she aims to improve the quality of life of her patients.
